Fresh Biscuit: Kurt Vile

Here is something to wash that nasty Corgan and Eminem out ya mouth.  This Philadelphian lo-fi indie-rocker goes by Kurt Vile, and has recorded in a group called War on Drugs.  First song up is called 'My Sympathy' and is written for rainy days.  The initial note bending and overall Elliott Smith style guitar are stellar.  Next is 'Freeway,' which would sound great while listening to it on the Freeway.  It has an immediate familiarity to it and goes down real easy.  Check out his two albums 'Constant Hitmaker' and 'God is Saying This to You...'
